The film debuted globally few months back in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where it was lauded for its heartfelt approach and sensitive narrative.           The movie was released in Indian cinemas this September and received praise for its emotional depth and the compelling performances delivered by Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa.           Despite receiving critical acclaim, the film did not achieve much success during its theatrical release. After its run-in cinemas, Homebound released on OTT.
